Innovation from Eastern Switzerland: Cleanfix Robotics at WPO-Impuls 2026

At WPO-Impuls 2026 in Uzwil, six companies showcased innovation from Eastern Switzerland. Cleanfix Robotics presented the new RA660 Navi XL Gen 2, developed and manufactured in Henau.

WPO-Impuls 2026 brought together companies, young professionals and students in Uzwil to discover some of the most exciting innovations from Eastern Switzerland.

Six finalists presented their solutions at the CUBIC Innovation Campus:

• Connexxa – digital networking platform
• De Martin – coated high-performance bicycle brake discs
• Hawle Schweiz – adjustable hydrant base
• Mérat – MEATerra hybrid meat products
• AVM Solutions – Process Marketplace

For Cleanfix, the event was a great opportunity to show that advanced robotics are being developed and manufactured right here in Eastern Switzerland.

Founded in Henau in 1976, Cleanfix celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026. At WPO-Impuls, we presented the new RA660 Navi XL Generation 2, our autonomous scrubber-dryer for large commercial and industrial areas.

The new generation has been extensively redesigned, including a new machine architecture, new HMI and operating concept, improved cleaning technology and a new approach to safety and environmental perception.

A key innovation is the camera-free 3D ultrasonic obstacle detection using Sonair ADAR technology. It enables the robot to perceive obstacles in three dimensions, even in challenging conditions such as darkness, dust, moisture and around transparent or reflective surfaces.

Because the system works without cameras, the robot can perceive its surroundings without recording images of people – an important advantage for privacy-sensitive environments.

The RA660 Navi XL can also be remotely monitored through Mission Control, provides detailed cleaning reports and can be combined with a docking station for automatic charging and water handling. For more complex applications, it can also be integrated into building and logistics infrastructure.

WPO-Impuls 2026 was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and demonstrate what innovation from Eastern Switzerland can look like.
